Orientation & Transportation
Participants are kindly requested to arrange for their own transfers between the Lisbon's International Airport "Lisbon Portela Airport" (Alameda das Comunidades Portuguesas, 1700-007) and the hotel.
From the Airport it is possible to reach the city centre in three ways:
- By Taxi: they are lined up outside the terminals. Even with the luggage they should cost no more than around 10 Euros. It is always better to ask for a receipt.
- By Bus: they stop right outside the arrivals terminal. If you don't have large luggage, you can take buses 44, 45 or 83 that run past the major avenues uptown and end up in the old city centre.
- By Shuttle Bus: if you have many luggage you should take AeroBus 91 (also AeroBus CARRIS), available from 7:45 AM to 8:45 PM, which runs between the Airport and the city centre. A ticket may be purchased directly from the driver and currently stands at 3.10 Euros. The journey takes about 20 Minutes.
For your orientation, please refer to the map linked below at the voice ìMiscellaneusî, as well as the Lisbon Metro plan, further down.
